My response

LadyGreek, no offense taken...

I knew I was interested in both groups, actually. I have a lot of friends who are Iotas and who are sweethearts, and I respected what they were doing for each other and the community, as well as the love they showed me. I became a Heart in august of 2000.
As for DST, I turned around and crossed in April of 2001. I joined for the same reasons, as well as what DST stood for, as compared to other orgs.
I also did this in two different cities, but I never hid this from my sorors of DST. I wanted them to accept me for who I am. Although this raises some animosity among the older sorors, my sands, immediate prophytes, and neos respect my other organization. I have time because Hearts are more active in my hometown, which I support and plan when I can, and DST is active at my school, which I plan and support for them, and for the Iota bruhs that are there. It's just like balancing work and school. It keeps me busy, but it's what I wanted to do.

12dn4DST: I was not aware that they outlawed auxillaries in '90. Iota Sweethearts are still going strong, and the itinerary for the Iota Conclave still has Heart workshops, as I am going in August, and the nationals still give out certificates, because the last ship of hearts have them. That's interesting...

Librasoul: It would be nice for spellcheck on GC, since sometimes I type fast and look over typos...
