I was just curious...I will be a junior this fall and I am rushing, however I do plan to stay here for 3 more years. (I transferred) Would I be considered rushing as a sophomore or a junior? I know it'll be hard going through recruitment, but I am keeping a very optomistic attitude. I understand when some of the girls when they are like, "You may be cut heavily due to you being a junior, etc." I have thought a lot about it, why they cut upper classmen, probably because they'd rather have people who are active for 4 years instead of just two. However, in my opinion (and if they ask, I plan to tell them) that it is true that college only lasts on average, for 4 years, but sisterhood lasts a lifetime! Besides, if I get a bid to a GLO, I plan to stay an active alum. I was also concerned (I saw it happen on Sorority Life) about transferring and not having a cum GPA for this university, so now I'm taking summer classes and getting situated and learning my way around campus and meeting lots of new people, so that, come fall, the transitional blow (especially with a million other people, new classes, and rushing!) will be a lot easier than if I would have just started in the fall. I'm loving it here and I have met a few girls in a bunch of different sororities. They have all been really nice, so I hope I will find a home here! I'll be sure to have a recruitment thread in August...thats the least I can do for you guys since you have all been so supportive and helpful! Since I've joined GC I've been much more confident about what is going on and what to expect, even though I'll be nervous, I'm keeping a positive attitude!! I'm a very outgoing person so I can't wait to introduce myself to the sisters and find out what their all about and hopefully go greek!
Any insight for me would be awesome, if you want to talk more, please IM me on RedFox1705 or oUTfoxed83 (i'm always on!! hehe) Bye for now, and thanks!!!
