Haven't seen any, but I think that parts of the contest are going to be televised. I think I saw a commercial for MTV2.
Also, I think that the finals are going to be in Atlanta, if you were thinking about trying to get to a show.

The Mu Pi Chapter welcomed 44 lovely young ladies into the sisterhood yesterday afternoon at 4:08, including one of my former students  . I had the pleasure of being there to witness the event which was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end.

Absolutely!!! I hope she does an excellent job with the book. She's VERY talented! (Are we allowed to post our personal AKAmplishments? I won 2nd place at the NATS Vocal Competition in Hammond, LA earlier this month ... ~giggle~)

Thank you, Little32!! I had to do four pieces: One in French, one in German, one in Italian and then an English contemporary piece. I was in one of the Advanced categories where the judges critique pretty heavily. I was happy to get 2nd Place.

Nobel Peace Prize
Congratulations to Soror Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, 2011 winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Sirleaf is the current president of Liberia (elections will be held soon) and is the first woman elected to the office in the history of the nation. She shares the honor with Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman.
