Now completely off the subject, I've also noticed that my hair texture was very different before having a relaxer (when I was twelve and old enough to decide) than before twelve. Hopefully, my daughter (when I have one) will not have to spend 2 hours every (other) week in the shop getting a hot press and curl, and trying hard to stay out of the rain. That is NOT a way for a child to grow up. She will know every braided, twisted and coiled style though!
