Ditto.
The clothes suck azz. Can I sue them for "lack of good taste"?

Do I think some of those things were hateful? Of course. Do I think they were racist? Sure. But in my mind there's a difference between "racism" and "discrimination."
On a side note, am I the only white person who isn't offended in the least by the terms "honkey" or "cracker"? During my whole childhood, I never heard them used as anything but a joke and so now whenever I hear them, I can't take them seriously.

I wasn't sayin it was discrimination... just asking if it was ok.
I agree with a lot of what you say but I don't understand why anyone has to have anyone else's approval. But I guess that's just another part of having a white privilege. I'll agree that yes whites do have more privileges.
Honkey and cracker-- I think they are the funniest words. But do you remember the controversy when JLo used the "n" word ending in "a" in a song and people caused an uproar cuz she isn't black and therefore it was derogatory? Well I feel that way with those words. I'd never go up to black man or woman and say "What up ****a" and I wouldn't expect a black man or woman to come up to me and say "What up cracka/honkey". If a white man or woman said it to me I'd prolly laugh.
Back to the topic... there are no A&F stores in a reasonable driving distance from me. I was definately turned off by them when they tried to promote sexy undies for youngins. Who does that? PERVERTS!

I know this thread has gotten way off topic, but I thought it was important even if it wasn't necessarily relevant to the topic at hand.
Thank you to everybody who said that I did a good job of saying what they were going to say.

Well, since we all came to the conclusion that A&F is nothing more than an elitest wanna-be store that promotes coolness and popularity they probably didnt want anybody from downriver to wear their clothes.

Okay...how on earth did I miss all this??
First of all, many people are missing and/or avoiding the point. Of COURSE one can be discriminated on for any reason. Does that make it RIGHT?? No, it does not.
To everyone who is dismissing this suit as frivilous and THEN complaining about how they are disciriminated against...HOW HYPOCRITICAL CAN YOU BE?
And also, JAM, not sure where you live, but I think I see more white pople wearing FUBU than black people.

Out of the box abit!!
Why wear closes that are over priced with Company name on it for advertising them. They ought to be paying you as a walking talking bill board!
Sorry,not me!
And for a question way back up the board, I would hire someone who looks, dresses, and speaks well!
+++and hopefully honest!!!!!

Aww hell, cash -- now you've done it -- you've agreed with my priviledged white self, and there will be hell to pay...
texas*princess - you said in your reply to Cash's remark:

maybe in your point of view.. hehehe

uh, yeah - isn't that what she said from her point of view? I mean she didn't say "as usual, according to someone else, AXOAlum is right on target..." -- I mean that was just kinda like "okay then, let me just kick some dirt on your shoes because you made a remark that I don't agree with" -- but then again, being the white priviledged princess (WPP) that I am, I will just have someone else clean my shoes
I am not going to keep going in circles with people -- just don't bitch and say "race shouldn't matter" outta one side of your mouth, and then turn around and say the contrary when it applies to a person of a different skin tone/gender than yourself. If race shouldn't matter, then it shouldn't matter PERIOD - not just where it suits your needs.
WPP is off to wave some more at her crowds...
