Local or Regional

If a traditionally local fraternity expands to a second chapter, is the fraternity still considered local? Or would regional be a more appropriate term? Is local really only used for orgs. with one chapter? And if regional is a good term, what makes an org. regional?

Thanks.

Well, correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe a local is when a single chapter is not affiliated with a larger headquarters or within the NPC network (as an example... i always forget the names of the other affiliations ). A regional is when there is more than one chapter in a given area....
