Wow! It looks like Phi Sig is going to be the dominant group representing their organization for two years running! I'm still not sure whether or not I'll be able to meet at either of the parks before dinner. Since I'm graduating (actually this weekend, yay me!!!), my top priority is finding a job. When I find one, I'm going to quit my job inside Disneyland, but until then, I can still sign a few people in for free to both parks. We'll have to see.

Incidently, SAEactive is now officially an alumnus, but I'm not going to bother changing my username to SAEalum or anything like that (don't want to have to restart my post count).

I'll see you all on the 12th!

Congratulations Bill on your graduation. It's an awesome feeling isn't it.

I keep trying to get people to invite their sisters and brothers to the event and to let us know they're coming. I'm trying to see if one of my sisters is bringing her friends from Delta Zeta at CSULA (and trying to get them on to GC).

Crap! I can't go anymore!!!!!

My boyfriend and I will be chillin in Hawaii til the 14th!!!!! Its my first time going and im super excited, especially since my BF is taking me!!!! wooohoooo!!!!

i think DGrOcks is still gonna go! Ill ask her later!

bummer. but at least have fun in Hawaii. And tell DGrocks that she better still come with us - she'll just have to get a couple of your other sisters to join us instead (and get them on GC as well).

Okay here's an updated list for the July 12th GreekChat Gathering. For some reason DeeGeePrincess thinks going to Hawaii with her boyfriend will be more fun then joining us at GC, I think she should stay in So. Cal and come join us (just kidding - have fun in Hawaii)

Also for those who are new to the thread and don't want to read back through everything here is what is going on. Those of us in Southern California or who can make it to So. Cal. are going to have a GreekChat get together at Downtown Disney. We did this last year and it was so much fun that SAEactive decided to try to organize it again this year. Here are the details:

Date: Saturday July 12, 2003
Where: Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney (it's outside the parks so you only need to pay parking).
Time: 5:00 p.m.

No one has said they want to meet earlier and go visit one of the parks. I have an annual pass and can meet anyone who wants to go early. Also, SAEactive works at Disneyland (at least for now) and has offered to sign in up to 3 people as long as he's still working there. If you want to do that you need to let him know ASAP. We'll leave the parks and walk over to the Jazz Kitchen to meet up with everyone by 5:00.

Because I have the annual pass I'm planning on going early anyway so I can try to put in reservations early for the group and then enjoy the park. I'm just going to need to know the exact number of people going so don't forget to post to let us know if you're bringing friends and what group they are from.

So it seems some folks are making reservations already to be let into the two parks for free.

DISCLAIMER: I may not still be working in Disneyland at that point, in which case I will not be able to sign anyone in for free, including myself.

HOWEVER, my job search is giving me the impression that it could very well take a little longer than I had originally anticipated, which suggests the good possibility that I will still be working there on the 12th. If I am, I'll have to do some arranging with my shifts that weekend. We shall see.

Assuming things work out, the "list" will be as follows:

I'm sure it won't be a problem anyway, but by signing anyone in, I am taking responsibility for what they do while at the resort. In the (hopefully) unlikely event that something were to happen, I would personally be held accountable for it (read this as: fired). I don't usually sign in people I don't know for this very reason, but I believe that Greeks in general are good, trustworthy people, so I'm making an exception here. As this part-time job is my one and only source of income until I get a career position, I must ask that whoever I sign in please keep this in mind. Thanks!

The computer at home with internet access just decided to find humor and now refuses to boot. I had to come back up to campus after graduation to check email and that sort of thing, and will have to continue to do so until the computer gets fixed. Consequently, I may not be able to respond immediately to any PMs, IMs or other emails.

Technology can be so wonderful sometimes, can't it?

Okay, so, it looks pretty certain that I'm still going to be working at Disneyland on the 12th, BUT I may not get the day off altogether. My boss has said that I can open (I'd be done by 3pm), but I may still have to work. I'll find out for sure this Sunday (the 6th). I don't know if the people on my list would want to go in the park for a whole hour or two before dinner (or if people wanted to meet later than 5pm for dinner to allow more time to hang in the park - whichever), but it's still an option. Let me know.

phisigduchesscv, I have work until 5 (hopefully and quite possibly, I'll be off much earlier) on the 12th, but I can make it to Disneyland afterward probably (no later than 6:30 I'd hope). So i might not make it for the dinner, but if anything is going on after, I'm down. If i go, I'll most likely bring a friend or two from UCR and my job (if i can make it to dinner, I'll let you know ASAP).

I'll ask my boss tomorrow if I can get off work a little earlier on the 12th either way. PM me if this is a problem! Also, if anyone is coming from the Riverside/SB area and wants to meet up to drive down to Disneyland beforehand, PM me!
