I think it's absolutely ridiculous to hear people saying that mothers are "shirking their responsabilities as mothers" when they want to have a career or a life outside of their families!! People are like, "Well, she decided to give up her life when she had kids." I don't know any mom who wanted to give up her identity to have children!! Kids are a blessing yes, and I'm sure I will love them dearly when I have them, but that should not equate to me not being a person anymore!! Dads are allowed to have jobs, hobbies, and friends, and still spend time with their kids, why can't moms?? Dads are supposed to spend "quality" time with the kids and that NEVER means all day all night and every time they make a sound, why is it that because I happen to have the uterus they came out of, I'm tied to them forever?? I will never compromise myself or my passions just because I decide to have a family. Men have both, so should we!!!!!!!!!
