I had to grow up with the most grown-up sounding name I can imagine: Carol. Seriously. Mom and Dad were going to name me Heather, but they thought there was too much that would rhyme with it and people might make fun... Like Feather, Leather, Pleather. So instead, I got the joy of growing up with the wonderful (sarcasm) Poltergeist lines... "Carol Anne... come towards the light." (middle name is Anne- they cursed me). I wish I could change my name.
