Ecch... teasips -- the common enemy of the Aggies and Sooners!
BOOMER SOONER!
And in respect for the Texas Aggies... and for Kitso and AggieAXO!
RECALLLLLLL! STEP OFFFFF... ONNNNNNN HULLABALLOOOOOO!!! WHOOOOOOP!!!!
Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!
Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!
All hail to dear old Texas A&M,
Rally around Maroon and White,
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show the fight.
That good old Aggie spirit thrills us.
And makes us yell and yell and yell; --
So let's fight for dear old Texas A&M,
We're goin' to beat you all to --
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Rough! Tough!
Real stuff! Texas A&M!
Good-bye to Texas University.
So long to the Orange and White.
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show
the real old fight.
The eyes of Texas are upon you.
That is the song they sing so well,
So, good-bye to Texas University,
We're goin' to beat you all to --
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Rough! Tough!
Real stuff! Texas A&M!
Saw Varsity's Horns Off!
Saw Varsity's Horns Off!
Saw Varsity's Horns Off!
Short!
Varsity's Horns are Sawed Off!
Varsity's Horns are Sawed Off!
Varsity's Horns are Sawed Off!
Short!

AlphaSig,
You know, there's a reason why i root for the Sooners during the Red River Shootout, it's the common enemy we both have in the sips.
BTW, kudos on posting the war hymn. If we go to Howl at the Moon for the Texas GC meeting, we're gonna have to make sure the piano guy plays it, and i can teach y'all how to "Saw em Off"
Kitso
KS 361 times i had to sing the war hymn at ROTC Advanced Camp, by myself mostly, but by the end of camp my whole squad would join in to help me "Saw em Off"

Why so many TX bashers? I don't live in TX, but I still like it. TX has some great cities, though personally, I think Houston sucks. People in TX are usually very friendly. I also have to admit that I am a UT fan... at least for football. That said, I wouldn't leave CA to live in TX, but it is a great place to visit.
Edit... I love the music. Pat Green, Cooder Graw, Kevin Fowler, Robert Earl Keen... too many to list. I like TX!

Just the opposite...
I posted this in another thread, but think it needs to be here as well:
I probably should weigh in here.
I've been to every place mentioned here (so far), and have been to Texas many times. I worked for a Texas company for a while.
In my personal opinion, Texas is OK. Not stupendous. It's got some great stuff and some bad stuff. One thing it certainly doesn't lack is ego. In fact, in my opinion, what makes people dislike Texas has more to due to the attitude that Texans try to stuff down your throat than anything wrong with Texas.
The fact is that everywhere I've lived, visited or been to for work has good and bad points. Texas is far from my favorite, but it also isn't the worst.
I know that some of the attitude is supposed to be in fun, but it gets out of hand. It's great to be proud of your state, but not at the expense of someone elses. We're all proud of our states, and some take major offense at someone putting it down.
Games are fun, but name calling can get ugly and cause serious hurt feelings. So far, this has been OK, but let's keep it that way, huh? Have fun, but be mindful of others.
(By the way, until you guys learn to drive in the montains -- slow the hell down in ours)
