I don't know if there is a connection. DPhiE was founded at NYU Law School on March 17, 1917. SDT was founded at Cornell University on March 25, 1917. Cornell is about four or five hours away from NYU. I don't think that there is a connection except that two great sororities were founded in New York State in March of 1917.
