Bird & Eva..... LET IT GO. I didn't quite agree with how Bird approached Eva about her not getting the talk show spot, but I understood where Bird was coming from.

Lem..... hmmmm.....wasn't good to take "Usher" with you....
"Usher" what are you trying to do? Get back at your Dad for what? Being proud of you and not wanting you to follow in his footsteps and be underhanded and dirty? And trying to sabotage Lem??? Do you know who Lem is??? "Every smart man doesn't have to go to college, but every smart man should" I like that quote, but he needs to understand that just because he went to college and Lem didn't doesn't mean that Lem doesn't know what he is doing. AND that because he (Usher) is from the "hood" doesn't mean that he has "Hood knowledge". Don't mess with Lem.... he ain't the one!
Hopefully next week's episode will be better.
I totally understand why Soul Food is going down hill now. Not only because of the new writers, but these folks don't seem to have a clue on how to keep things flowing. In the first few seasons of the show, just about every episode related to the ones before them. My point: Bird had an abortion and IT HAS NOT been mentioned since then!!! Where's the connection? Are we supposed to forget about that? Teri got a ring last week? Did it disappear?
