To monitor the time, our rho chi's would knock on the door 5 mins before the party officially began, then 2 min knock and then a 1 min knock and then the doors open. Same process for leaving the parties.
They were REALLY strict about starting the parties at officially the right and time and ending at the right time. It was rather neat
