My stereo came with a remote, but I never use it. Like you said whats the point? Unless you want the kid in the back seat to switch CD's for you lol?
But I know people that won't change their stereo directly . . they will LOOK for their remote to change the stations.

The stereo remote in the car...my ex had one and I just thought it was the silliest thing. What's the point really? Unless of course you memorize the remote so that you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Perhaps it's a good thing for someone sitting in the back who would like to control the radio.
