I think what I said was misunderstood. I have never generalized that everyone who is overweight must be lazy and not eat healthy, because I KNOW that's not true. What I meant was I get annoyed with people who bitch about it but then if you look at their lifestyle it's a really unhealthy one. If you don't "look" healthy, but you're not doing anything to be healthy, you have no one to blame but yourself. For example, a very good friend of my is very overweight, and she never exercises and she never eats healthy food. Now, I have never heard her complain about her weight, but if she did it would probably be hard for me to sympathize when I know she doesn't take care of herself. On the other hand, if you're overweight but try to eat right and exercise... well then props to you. I hope that clarifies what I said


As for diabetes, I think it's weird cuz it runs in my family (and no one on my family is really overweight) but when I mention that to people this is the general response I get: "Well you don't have to worry about it because you're not overweight."
It's like they make the generalization that everyone with diabetes is overweight and that they are diabetic because of their size.
