I started my music career in 3rd grade playing - the clarinet... I continue playing that instrument throughout HS in both the Marching Band and Orchestra because my mother bought that instrument instead of renting, like all my friends who quitted parents did... I was
forced to play because my mother threatened to kill me if I stopped, after all, I was not going to waste her good money...
I started playing the violin and viola in 9th grade, because the HS Band Director needed warm bodies to play in his new String Orchestra... So again, I was
forced to play those instruments!
Then in college, I was recruited to play in the Jazz Workshop and started playing the flute, but I still played the clarinet, but I also started playing the piano, which is now the only instrument I play and planning to teach my children how to play
