Graduate Member versus Alumnae Member

I suppose there may be a difference within other organizations, and with others they mean basically the same thing. With Alpha Kappa Alpha, once a soror graduates college she may wish to affiliate herself with a graduate (a.k.a. alumnae) chapter.
