Determined one, I think you should first, thank your classmate for keeping you abreast of all activities going on with DST. Then let her know that you are not interested. Does she know you are interested in AKA? Had you ever given the vibe that you were interested in DST? Regardless, it should not be a problem. Your classmate should understand and go on her way.
My sister had this issue when she was in college. Our cousin was president of the DST chapter and her sister was a DST member, too and the AKA chapter was on suspension.
