But to be unbiased, Delta Zi Omega is a pretty cool sorority and they must be a strong local to go on for over ten years! And fraternity would go to Sigma Chi Omega. Who else would be clever enough to put the best fraternity and best sorority's letters together to form this loving brotherhood?

I'm sorry, but DZO just doesn't impress me - I come from a state where there might be more locals than nationals, and 10 years is nothing - my chapter was a local for 103 years, our unofficial brother fraternity is still local (temporarily national, as they like to put it and was founded in 1866. There's another sorority that's been local since the 50s, and a fraternity that has been local since the 40s. Our TKE and Sigma Pi chapters were also founded from a local...

That is true, there really might almost be more locals in Wisconsin.
There are quite a few on Milwaukee's campus and quite a few on other campuses around the state.
I had no idea that your chapter was a local for 103 year, thats crazy.
And Phi Sigma being founded in 1866,that just awesome that they are still around today.
There is another sorority that is a local on Whitewater's campus that was founded in 1899 and another fraternity on their campus that is a local that I thin kwas founded in the 40's or so.

There's a local at Beloit College that's been in existence for over a hundred years. I think it was a Delta Gamma chapter for part of its existence (early 1900s-1950s?), but the majority of it has been as a local.
UW-Stevens Point has two local sororities and only one national. A lot of the smaller schools around the state have comparable ratios. There are very few schools in Wisconsin that don't have any locals whatsoever.

If you had a gun to your head and you HAD to name ONE (JUST ONE) sorority and fraternity that is the BEST WORLDWIDE, which would it be?
Oh, how I lay in bed at night and ponder this...

TKE and Phi Mu! There. TKEs and Phi Mus dance around and rejoice for you are the greatest upon the earth. All others go home and put your heads in an oven because you suck.
Happy now?

Agreed, WONDERFUL insight in the quest for the TRUTH!!!
I actually DO have an opinion on this, but as I have changed, so have the standards I use to judge superfluous issues.
It's a matter of perspective, and the criteria one uses for judgments like this are relative to your own experiences. Bottom line-there is NO CORRECT ANSWER to a subjective question and a dozen or so people choosing to "opine" (I LOVE that word) does NOT make it "fact". Still, considering the size of the thread it is apparently good fodder for discussion.
edted-not trying to be mean...just feelng a tad sarcastic.

Pike is this way as well. I believe there are only a handful (5 or less) that are arranged this way.

Same here. Theta Delta Chi arranged that way. Not so unique then, eh?

Are you out of your f**king mind?! If someone put a gun to my head and this what they ask me, I'd be worried that this person is a mental patient and is going to shoot me regardless of what I say.
What's with the gun here, geez... What, if I have a gun to my head I'm more likely to tell the truth? Hell no, I'm going to sneak a peek at his/her letters and hope I get it right
"If someone is holding a long stick at your rectum and asked you this question, what would you say?"
Does anyone have a better phrase?
