We had a lot of sorority members who had been anti-Greek at one point in time, including my best friend. I knew I wanted to join a sorority but took my time to find out which one I wanted. My friends followed my lead and we all joined during informal recruitment. We then started taking our transfer friends to things with sisters and found that most of them wanted to know how to join. A few that were anti-Greek still went to events after most of the people joined the sorority. The following fall, they joined because of the phone calls, letters, and visits between sister and them. I agree with the posts that say to make them your friend first. If you push the Greek system to someone who is skeptical, it may not get the results you want. If you take them to hang out with a bunch of great ladies, they may decide to be a part of your group. Just take your time and let them make the decision.
