Well, I am not a member but I am sure that using the term "shoe in" is most inappropriate. Speaking from one that is interested in gaining membership into AKA it is THE MOST prestigious sororities and I'm sure they don't except just anybody just 'cause mommy is a member. And I'm sure you still have to meet the other qualifications. Personally, I would want to be accepted based on my hard work and dedication. Do you really want to feel that you were accepted just because your mother is a member or that you earned it? I believe becoming a member of AKA is a privledge. Not a right.
I would want to be accepted based on my hard work and sweat. The young ladies of AKA work very hard to earn those letters. You should too. If you are going to seek membership under legacy make sure your other credentials are in order. This is just a suggestion. One sisterfriend to another.
