I haven't regretted any of mine yet except for the first time I went to church with a skirt but I got over that pretty quick. You have to love whatever you are getting because its there until you die - no you can't remove it and no you can't change it (very well anyway)
Best advice is to get something that means something to you - treat them like art, a diary entry into your life. You only have one skin, decorate it well.
