well, most likely one team or the other could survive, if they could figure out an organizational philosophy and then actively market the game - people came out to the stanley cup finals in miami, remember.
as it stands, watching valeri bure bitch and moan his way to 60 points doesn't do much for me - if i had 70 and sunny all year around i might just find something else to do, too. The 'Bolts are intriguing, but TB has the worst jerseys in the history of organized sports w/ the "electro-fied" sweaters, so i say get rid of the franchise (and send my boys in vancouver a Kubina while we're at it).
It's the same thing as baseball in Montreal - why is it all the sudden 'impossible' now? It's not - it's just that the teams have no focus, very little talent, and zero presence in the city.
