I guess it all depends on how much money you're willing to make and how much of a people person you are.
I work as a hostess at a downtown restaurant and my server friends tell me how much they make. The nicer you are, the more money you make. They make up to 200 dollars on a weekend night and 50 dollars on a weekday. It can be stressful, but hey....money talks. So, if you're willing to make a lot of money in a short period of time I suggest you be a server.
I used to work at Ruby Tuesday's as a hostess and I really enjoyed my time there. If I didn't have to quit to go to college I probably would still be working there.
