AVMA-American Veterinary Health insurance-I was previously pleased with them until this last year. I sent in a 175$ claim in November from a nurse practitioner who works under an M.D. My nurse practioner does not have a tax I.D. number-she uses the M.D.'s tax I.D. number. I got a letter in the mail in December saying they would not process any claims for the nurse practioner without a tax I.D. number-yet I got payed for a 80$ already and they put another claim which was for 160$ towards my deductible this year-so why can't they pay for this 175$ claim? It is from the same nurse practioner as the other claims they have already acknowledged-so why is this one different? I have called and called and spoke propbably with the entire AVMA staff and I can't seem to get anywhere-blah! I hate insurance companies!
