We've had girls from Western Michigan stop by on the way back from Spring Break and we just happened to have the chapter at the house because it was chapter retreat. We welcomed them and let them stay with us and it was a good time all around.
What I normally do is contact the president or someone from the chapter I know I am going to be near and let them know that I would like to stop by. For example, I was in Columbus for the Recruitment Seminar this past weekend and I had contacted OSUs DG President and told her that my director of COB and I would be in town and would like to see the house. We got there and the president wasn't there but some of the girls knew we were coming so they showed us around.
I guess its just a courtesy thing
