all this nuclear crap
Alright, so I'm getting a little annoyed at all this war stuff, especially because North Korea seems to be much more of a threat to the United States than iraq. In the past few weeks, North Korea has announced their intention to start working on nuclear devices again, and UN officials have left the country. Iraq has been complying with the UN to this point. This is all outside of the fact that the US is still technically at war with North Korea (dating back to the Korean war in the 1950s). Why is it that Bush wants diplomacy with North Korea but is willing to go against the advice of much of the world to start a war with Iraq?

I don't know how much I believe in Iraq's compliance, but your point is still valid.
Even my father-in-law, a dyed in the wool patriotic WWII veteran, is worried that we're getting railroaded into a war with Iraq.
After living through the Vietnam era, I'd sure like to see some more proof before taking the chance of getting into protracted hostilities in the Middle East.
Be that as it may, regarding your quote above, I thought that we were never at war with North Korea, since that "war" was technically a U.N. Police Action and there was never an official declaration of war by Congress.
Thus, it doesn't matter that there was never an official end to the conflict, because it never had a legal beginning as far as the U.S. government is concerned.
Of course the semantics don't make a whole lot of difference when you're looking down the wrong end of a rifle.

And the wheels of war turn....
I find this really interesting, reminds me of the babies in incubators story out of Baghdad during the early ninties.

That's a good article. I particularly enjoyed the last paragraph.

Doctor BRANDS woman's uterus
Warning: There is a photo of the uterus in question with this story. This doctor needs to have his a** kicked, IMO.

"Her husband also is claiming loss of companionship because of the strain the incident has put on their relationship."
Okay, I'm not condoning what this doctor did. However, I would like to know what kind of strain this would put on anyones relationship, other then doctor/patient?
I think her husband was looking for a divorce anyway, and this looks like a perfect way out, and he'll end up with a little extra cash if his wife wins.

Re: Free Speech Under Siege at aTm
You have to love it when anti-war protestors can say what they want and gather where they want. But "damn" those that may happen to "glare" or "speak out" against the protestors.

yeah! Women can't get away with running over their husbands. Claire Harris the woman now famous for running over her husband just got convicted on the most serious charges for running over her husband in her Mercedes.
