This commercial obnoxious or annoying. It's the way that they used the background song that bothers me.
I think it's a Ralph Lauren commercial. They show all these models showing off the clothing. The song in the background is Creedance Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son". The only part of the song they play is the beginning where they sing "Some folks are born made to wear the flag. Red, white and blue...." as if to play off the whole 'American' image. If they would've included more than that first verse in their commercial than viewers would realize that it's a very anti-war and, in some ways, anti-American song. The song is about how people who have money or family members of status won't be drafted while they American government will draft those without those resources. I just think Polo used the wrong song to personify this pro-American image.
