Welcome to GC. The vast majority of GC-ers are very happy active members of their respective organizations or people who are otherwise interested in GLO's. Please don't let the negativity of some people get in the way of your ultimate goal.
My recommendation is to go through recruitment and get a feel for what each chapter is like. In my experience, the majority of my chapter is made up of minority members and all of the other NPC sororities on my campus are extremely diverse. Please do not be apprehensive about going through recruitment or even pledging because you don't look exactly like the women in your chapter. As a woman and as a college student you have the ability to share in sisterhood regardless of your race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual preference, etc.
