I know that not everyone considers "GDI" a bad thing, but some people do. Just because *you* don't see why it's bad or *you* don't intend it to be insulting doesn't mean that it won't be *received* that way.
Some people think it's funny and make a game of it. That's great. Good for you, seriously.
However to others, it is an insult. You dont' have to understand that to accept and respect it.
Like I said earlier, just make sure you have an idea who you're talking to and how THEY perceive "GDI" before you use it in front of them.
It's an issue of perceptions, folks, not intentions.
