Soon after joining Alpha Phi, I came home one weekend to visit and stopped by my mom's office to tell her I was in town. I used to work next door to my mom's office, so I went to visit my former boss. I mentioned to her that I joined a sorority and she replied with, "I joined one of those in college. Um, I don't remember the name. What's the name of your sorority?" I told her, "Alpha Phi." She said, "Hmmm, I think it was Phi something or other." ooookay!! She even pronounced it "FEE something." She isn't an Alpha Phi b/c there never has been a chapter at the university she went to. So yeah, I just said, "Oh really?" and left it at that. I don't get it! How can someone forget?? I honestly don't understand!

My mom says this is probably what happened with my former supervisor. My mom says that my former supervisor was "a little rough around the edges" while she was in college, so she couldn't see her being in a sorority.
