Here's what's funny. I've always loved pretty bras, corsets, etc.; I have a blast dressing up in stuff from Victoria's Secret and Frederick's of Hollywood. My first serious boyfriend was thrilled to find out what was in my dresser and we had lots of fun with my clothes. But my more recent boyfriend was totally uninterested by lingerie. You name it, it bored him...we're talking garter belts, stockings, it all left him cold. He would say, "It's just in my way!" and take everything off without a second glance.
Result? Dressing up wasn't any fun for me! I didn't realize how much of the fun came from watching my boyfriend's reactions. It was such a blast to flash the garter and watch him light up like a kid on Christmas morning! When I was with a guy who didn't care, I stopped caring, too.
So I don't know whether it's more accurate to say that I like to wear lingerie for him or for me. I do it because I like it when he likes it.
