I read a book this weekend called No More LoveMaking by Sonia Caulton where the protagonist's boyfriend did the exact same thing. He was a loser and so was she for forgiving him. She made $100K and he made um $40K and that went to his baby mama -- he was a liar, had another kid in hiding, used another woman's credit card to buy her a 6K engagement ring.  <--- She was shocked that he had enough money to actually buy her the ring. 
I recommend the book. It has a subplot featuring DOWN LOW BROTHAS.
