Publicity

Hi all,

I still haven't heard back from the school's student life office on whether I can start publicizing Beta on our campus... so do you think I should go ahead and start even without their approval? It's been almost two weeks since I contacted them and I haven't heard anything. I plan to do follow-up the next time I'm on campus, but I'm so eager to get the ball rolling!

I wouldn't just yet. If your school has rules against such things it wouldn't be good for futher relations with the school. I'd just make a nice call to the department, or send a follow up email asking nicely if they received your first one, and if it would be ok.

I agree...

I know you're excited and ready to get started, but I would definitely wait until you've done a follow-up. A few days of waiting might save you a lot of time that would be spent patching wounds later.

Good luck!

Yeah, yeah... patience isn't exactly my strong suit.

In other news, my Friendly Venture packet arrived in the mail today! I'm going to take a few brochures to campus and leave them in strategic places in my department with the e-mail address (ubcbetas@yahoo.com) on the back of it for contact information.

I know you're excited! I hate having to be patient. I'm not good at it. I've got my fingers crossed, and everyone working on a new chapter of Beta is in my prayers!!!!

I'm going to tell you girls the same thing that I told Erica when she began her odyssey...PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE! LOL! It's going to be ok though. Keep your chins up and let me know if you guys need any help!

Hugs,
Bernadette
