I hope it is treated like an explanation and that scientists and drug companies get cracking on a treatment for obesity and that more important, the health insurance companies cover said treatment. Because if you maintain a reasonable weight, you can prevent a lot of health problems in the future.
I still believe in diet and exercise (for me, I prefer exercise), but I also believe that it's up to the individual to decide whether they want to be ladies-who-lunch social X-ray thin or not.
