- Alpha Phi Alumna Georgia Neese Gray was the first female treasurer of the United States. She was appointed by President Harry Truman.
- The screenplay for the hit movie, Mrs. Doubtfire was written by Randy Mayem Singer, an Alpha Phi alumna.
- The U.S. Congress recognized the contributions of Alpha Phi lady, Frances E. Willard, by placing a statue of her in Statuary Hall in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol--she was the first woman to be so recognized.
