First of all thank you to all of you guys for responding. Knowing that it would actually be better off not to bring the gift to the wedding was a big help.
Basically what I decided to do is ask all my co-workers to go in on the star registry, and depending on the money we get I'll use the rest to get a gift certificate to Target (where they were registered) so that they can pick out the stuff they need most.
