I was a little disappointed with the movie. Parts of it were just too unbelievable (redecorating Jake's entire house in a few hours (appliances included), Jake and the fiancee accidently hooking up, Jake happening upon her while she's in the pet cemetery crying over the dog, meeting at the end at the exact spot where it all began, etc...). Then, it just wasn't funny. There were plenty of scenes that were SUPPOSED to be funny, but they just weren't to me. Especially the scenes when she first arrives back in Alabama. It was just too slapstick for my taste. It did, however, get better towards the end. I also wish they would have spent more time on her life in NY.
Also, I know that there are still towns like Pigeon Creek (lol), Alabama, but I did think there was a little overkill with the southern hick stereotypes.
I know it sounds like I hated the movie, but I actually didn't. It was worth my $5.25. It just could have been a lot better.
