Ahem. Well, this is my third year at Baylor and my second in the greek system there, so I guess I'll comment.
First of all, these people should have known better. If we were at a state school, fine. But Baylor IS a Baptist university, and people know that when they come here. Baylor is a school that doesn't allow co-ed visitation past 6 pm. Baylor is a school that has chapel and religion requirements for graduation. Baylor is a school that only approved school sponsored dances/parties about 3 years ago. So what would make somebody think they could pose in Playboy and nothing would be said about it???
Now, if you wanna pose in Playboy, DO YOU. I'm not being judgemental or anything like that, but what I am saying is that when you chose to go to a private school.. a RELIGIOUS PRIVATE SCHOOL, no less... you gotta be prepared for the ramifications that will follow your actions.
What is the point in bashing the school, however? Private school isn't for everybody, but does that mean you have to make uninformed and assumptive statements about it? The bottom line is that while the situation may seem the result of poor judgement on the part of Baylor's "academian jerks"
to YOU, these guys knew the possible outcome of their actions. Simple as that.
