1. University of Southern California
2. Alpha Psi chapter
3. I'm a sophomore!
4. I am currently the jr. panhellenic delegate
5. I joined because during the big production that is fall rush, I felt that the ADPi's were the only girls that weren't lying to me. They were real and honest and because of that you could really sense what an awesome sisterhood it is.
6. I am going to go with our initiation celebration invite. It was my second date with my current boyfriend (going on 7 months now!) and I also got to buy a really hot black strapless dress for it. It was a blast!

1. Bishop's University
2. Eta Tau
3. Collegian
4. none - just joined this past semester
5. I never thought I'd join a sorority... The ADPi's sent me an invitation to a recruitment event, and I went mostly because I had nothing else to do that night. I just clicked with everyone there, and after another event, I knew that it was where I belonged. They're some of the greatest girls I've ever met.
6. initiation... It was so early and I was so exhausted, but it was absolutely beautiful

1. St. Louis University
2. Eta Nu
3. Collegian
4. None yet
5. The 8 hours spent in a room with some sisters during initiation. Most of us hardly knew eachother, but we had a blast anyway. But the most special moment was actually the ceremony...it was absolutely beautiful; and then of course the celebration afterwards!
Did any of y'all spend as long as we did during initiation?? It was craaaazy long!

How many women did you have going through initiation that day? We had 11, and I think it took us almost four hours to complete our initiation since we did two groups, so one group was sitting upstairs while the other was going through.

I'd say I spent about 10 hours with my sisters for initiation, and I was the only one being initiated. It was long, but so much fun!

1. Florida State University
2. Iota
3. Collegian, PC 2002
4. Parent's Weekend chair, Recruitment Skit Set Designer, Recruitment Rho Gamma Room cooridinator
5. Well, I am a double legacy and I have two aunts who are ADPi's and they have all been active alumni, so I have been surrounded by it my whole life. I was sung ADPi songs as lullabys, went to Grand Convention before my first birthday, and knew who Eugenia was before I got to high school even. So there really wasn't much of a choice.
6. Hanging out in one of the seniors' rooms for hours every time we had a ceremony with the same five girls, four of whom were in my recruitment group. We initiated 60 girls last Fall, so it always took forever, but it was fun to sit and chat with everybody.

Well, we had 53 girls going through, and 4 groups, so that's probably why it took so long....but it was well worth it!

That's how I felt, too
1. The University of Kansas
2. Tau
3. Collegian- Alpha member!
4. No positions held...yet!
5. I knew I loved ADPi during the first invitational round of rush. After visiting 12 other sororities and speaking with a jillion other girls, I could tell that my convos at ADPi were not forced, and we talked about random funny subjects. I was so happy that I consistently spoke with the same women each day, and they all made me feel more and more welcome!
6. It's not going to be my favorite memory whatsoever, but I thought this was pretty interesting! I will probably never forget going to the student health center for the first time. Here at KU right now, as many of you know, we have many cases of H1N1. So, after feeling sick for a few days, I went down to the health center to get checked out. I knew a lot of girls became sick as a result of recruitment (shaking hands, etc), but while I was waiting in the lobby, I ended up meeting 5 of my new sisters (We have a really large house, so its hard to meet everyone the first day)! It was a different way of meeting new people, and I hope that's not how it happens next time!

My chapter at TCU is going through the same thing right now with Swine Flu, as are pretty much all of the sororities. Welcome to ADPi and take care of yourself

1. University of Nevada Las Vegas
2. Epsilon Rho
3. Collegian
4. Formal Recruitment Chair, RVP and Leadership Chair
5. No matter how nervous I was going to COR events, I always felt so welcome when I got there. (I only wanted ADPi) I am greatful that I met all the women I did!!!
6. The whole day of Bid Day, from being nervous to having fun with the girls before and after knowing that they wanted me!!!
I remebered a specific event, they wanted us to keep busy (I know this in retrospect) while they set everything up, so we did a sort of campus tour... but we needed to get from one side of the campus to another fast. So we flagged down a tram (long golf cart) and hopped on... we had to cram all of us in there and hang on. Then plan was we had to walk, so as we drove by (about 100 yards) the building where they were setting up, we tried to hide. (Like anyone couldn't tell) Anyways, we all laughed SO HARD and it was SO MUCH fun!!!

ADPI till I die
School: University of Southern Mississippi
chapter: Eta Zeta
Collegian
I was initiated in March so I have only held one position to dat: Scholarship chair, as i am currently. I will be slating for EVP, Guard, and NMC soon though
I was "rushed" by a girl that was dating one of my now ex-boyfriends frat brothers. Tai, the girl, never talked it up like some girls who have to compensate for their lack of sisterhood do. I just saw it when i saw her relate to the other sisters, myself never planning on joining a sorority. Eventually, I was invited to a COR and next thing I knew, i was being initiated 2 months later.
My fondest memories, well, they would haave to be stepping in A Phi A's step show (and winning top sorority step), dancing in DG's Anchor Splash ( we were 80Pi, gotta luv the 80's music), singing "Baby got Pins" to our advisors and seeing the looks on their faces, and the RR after the Recrutiment workshops this summer...LEt's just say, after 12 hours of singing One Blue two blue, you need to rest and just hang out, watching movies and such. I love my sisters!!
