Arrow fraternaties rush before sororities?

I just found out that at MTSU, the fraternity bid day is four days before our rush even STARTS. How do you think this will affect our rush or theirs?

It shouldn't be a big deal. I think at most schools fraternities do rush first. At least at my school that's the way it goes. I never hung out with the fraternity guys before rush anyway so it didn't affect me. I was a loner.

At my school the boys rush a day earlier than we do. It's not really a big deal since they have a totally different schedule than we do. I just found it annoying as I rushed last year because their rush is sooo much more laid back! ARGH. LOL They would try talking to us and would tease us as we had our countdown to go into the houses. The guys just walk around and go to whatever house they want to. Sorry for my rambling! Anyway, don't worry about when their rush is. Just focus on yours and having fun.

At my wonderful school the frats rush after the sororities. Our rush starts a couple days before classes do so the girls can go through without having to worry about classes as well. It also gives them a chance to meet other people. According to my boyfriend, who THINKS he knows it all, the only reason the fraternities rush after us is lack of organization. But I really don't know. You're guess is as good as mine, it just varies from school to school. I don't think it matters though.

At my school, Sorority Rush was the week before school started, Bid Day was the day before everyone moved into the dorms. Fraternity Rush ususally followed a few weeks later, with the sororities assisting the frat they had been paired with or had chosen to help. A girl could help with her boyfriend's rush instead of her sorority's partner if she wanted to, and a non-Greek girl could attend also. The frat Bid Day was held at the Mud Hole (no joke) and pictures were taken with all of the guys and girls wearing the Bid Day shirts, covered in mud, and smiling like crazy. It was MUCH different from the sororities bid day.

At my school, fraternity rush is a few weeks after sorority rush. It's kinda cool b/c we bring along some of our new pledges to be rush hostesses with us. It helps them meet some new people, and they get a free bid day t-shirt out of it! TCSparky is very right, though, about sorority bid day and fraternity bid day being completely different. All the NPC orgs have a "no booze, no boys, no bootie" rule for bid day. The fraternities...well, it's just a drunkfest, but we all have a really good time!
