Personally as a 16 yr old I think that you should have sex when you "think" you're ready mentally and emotionally. I also think that you shouldn't have sex until you can openly tell your mother. Not saying that you should tell your mother but if you can't tell you mother in confidence then you arent ready. Because when you choose to have sex you choose to alter the lives of others.
