Someone mentioned that Reagan is the name of the girl in the Excorsist, but it's also the name of one of the evil daughters in King Lear. Cute name, bad connotation.

I think it's important to give your child a name that most people have heard of. It's ok to be different, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

I have a somewhat unusual name, which is cool because it sets me apart, but it's also annoying to have to correct people all of the time. I can't tell you the number of times I've heard, "Oh, it's Donielle, not Danielle? I thought that it was a typo."

My boyfriend is Indian, and I still can't pronounce his name correctly, even after 4 1/2 years. He has vowed that even though he would like his children to have Indian names, he told me that "they have to be ones that white people like you can pronounce."
