Aprilrain, this year at my school, the potential new members receieve a schedule of all the party dates when they sign up for recruitment. This way, they can either plan ahead with work or put in excuses. As long as the absenses are excused, you won't be dropped from the first invitational and usually won't get dropped from the second if the members have met you at least once. I wouldn't miss paties the day before Preference, however, or you may be disappointed.
