uc_sdt We're seeking extraordinary siSTers! This weekend, national representatives from Sigma Delta Tau will be visiting UC to meet you and recruit our SPRING ALPHA CLASS! Mark your calendars for these important events:
March 8 @ 5 p.m.: Join us for an Info Session *
March 8 & March 9 : Register for a one-on-one chat
* March 9 @ 5 p.m. : BID DAY!
*Participation in a 1:1 chat is required to receive a bid.
Check the link in our bio for more details, chat registration, and more. We cannot wait to meet you!
Doesn’t this seem EXTREMELY fast? From invitation to recolonize to bid day in less than a month?! I just don’t want this chapter to be set up to fail I usually see chapters take a year or even two to be reintroduced.
I am a Cincinnati Kappa Delta alum and when I was is chapter we had 6 NPC chapters that had been on campus for nearly 100 years each. SDT will make it 11 NPC chapters (plus Phi Sigma Rho). And while I’m thrilled for the growth- 7 of the NPC chapters had spring COB pledge classes so they obviously weren’t at total.
Honestly I was just shocked when I saw the quick turn around and wanted to hop on here and see if anyone else has seen things move this quickly before?

Am I reading this correctly?
An info session and 1on1 chats on March 8th and bid day on the 9th?
Could it be that maybe some of the girls from Hillel and Chabad expressed interest in SDT?
Unless they have a large interest group already, it seems incredibly hasty.

Yeah this seems fast rather then the usual way of being in for a round of recruitment, "dropping out" and then doing separate recruitment a little bit after. IG if the interest is there it could work then they can jump in to do fall recruitment.

You are absolutely reading that correctly!
I do know there is an interest group but I have no details on how large it might be. I just don’t understand why there is such a rush. Maybe there is a good reason- I just can’t wrap my early 2000s Panhellenic mind around it 🤣

Yes there was an interest group that approached Cincinnati CPC about wanting a sorority with Jewish Foundations. The Expansion was based on Direct Contact to SDT and DPhiE inviting them to present with SDT selected.
I glad to see that 2027 was in error as that seemed like too long.
SDT National Alumnae of the year 2024 was a Cincinnati graduate and I would think her support for the reorganization is a driving force.

Thats amazing! I’m so happy to see the Panhellenic community thrive at my Alma mater! I was just shocked by the speed in which they were wanting to get started. I’m guessing there must have been a lot of moving parts before they were even officially extended the offer to recolonize. But if the can make it work- more power to them! 🥰

Colonizations don’t just happen after formal recruitment. I am aware of colonizations that took place in the off-season ( not after formal recruitment), that involved tableling the previous semester to get the word out, with more formal meetings and interviews with national officer and former National officers the semester after formal recruitment culminating in bid day and 6 weeks or so after that initiation and installation. I’m sure SDT knows what they are doing. Wishing them good luck!

Per the IG page theusdvista, (University of San Diego) the Zeta Pi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi is closing. The vote to close the chapter occured on 2/21/2026. Per HQ, there were challenges with membership size, recruitment outcomes, retention and leadership capacity. Also, ADPi was the first greek letter organization at USD, established in 1977.
