Delta Delta Delta will be closing this coming spring at Boston University due to low numbers. Sadly this is the Alpha Chapter. It does bring me hope that Tri Delta hopes to return in the future.

This is so heartbreaking. They had re-established this chapter only 40 years ago (1984). But I guess our fondness for the Alpha chapter doesn't outweigh the reality of where chapters are successful.

Alpha Sigma Tau recently got their Alpha chapter back recently, hopefully Tri Delta can return soon too

They will be returning this fall. They were supposed to in 2024 but got delayed for one reason or another.

March 1, 1918, the Phi Mu Delta fraternity became a Greek letter fraternity. Many chapters at that time had been members of a commons club organization. March 1 is celebrated as Founders Day for the fraternity.

Not sure where to put this, but—one of the victims of that shooting over the weekend in downtown Austin, TX, is member of Beta Theta Pi at TX Tech. His name is Ryder Harrington.

Delta Sigma Phi has closed their chapter at the University of Oregon. Closure is due to RMF and hazing allegations.

Doesn’t this seem EXTREMELY fast? From invitation to recolonize to bid day in less than a month?! I just don’t want this chapter to be set up to fail I usually see chapters take a year or even two to be reintroduced.

I am a Cincinnati Kappa Delta alum and when I was is chapter we had 6 NPC chapters that had been on campus for nearly 100 years each. SDT will make it 11 NPC chapters (plus Phi Sigma Rho). And while I’m thrilled for the growth- 7 of the NPC chapters had spring COB pledge classes so they obviously weren’t at total.

Honestly I was just shocked when I saw the quick turn around and wanted to hop on here and see if anyone else has seen things move this quickly before?
