I’m assuming you’re not road tripping in your new ride since y’all are bringing a tent. A big ass tent and a GTR won’t mix Lol. That’d be a nice trip to break in a new ride though, if you weren’t bringing a tent.

I just looked up the price of that car. $113,540. Damn! That’s crazy. And all this time I thought that car was more like 50 - $60,0000. I don’t get why they are that high in price. Looks like a plain Japanese car to me.

Nope. But I’ll break it in eventually.

Actually, the GT-R is priced lower than a lot of its competitors because Nissan focused on function over luxury. It doesn’t have the carbon fiber chassis or high-end interior materials you’d find in a Ferrari or Porsche, but what you do get is a hand built twin turbo V6, advanced AWD, and a transaxle layout designed for performance. Instead of charging more for the badge, Nissan invested in engineering. So you end up with a car that delivers supercar level performance at a much more accessible price.

This is why it’s priced the way it is, Phroze, yet it’s half the price of its competitors.

Or better yet, when you two went to prom together. I think this is SO wild that you’re getting married to him. I could tell in the picture you took with him that you really, really liked him.

You are so welcome. Doesn’t he go to MSU for his health? That makes Pippin a Sparty if he does.

We are going to Mackinac Island in July and I thought he would do it then, during a Sip N Sail Sunset cruise. But, he said that once he had the ring in his possession, he couldn't wait until then. We both had kind of a rough week and he thought it would be a good pick me up for both of us. It was quiet, sitting on my couch after we got back from a birthday party on Saturday night
lol
Hilarious that he couldn’t wait. I love it! Ya know, I think that was perfect timing for you both, Dee.

He must have wanted you to be surprised.

We're seriously trying to figure out if we can just retire and run away from corporate world and have a forever honeymoon. We're going to look seriously at finances this weekend.

Nope. Trust me, he didn’t. He just “forgot”…

Dee, that would be amazing. I think that would be so awesome! Did you pick a date yet? I’m being so nosy. Ignore me please, lol.

No- it will be awhile. We have jobs on different sides of the state, we each have houses and neither will work for both of us together. We might wait until we retire to reduce the complexity. But we're both really getting burned out on some toxicity with leaders at our jobs.

You see how dude said it was ugly in so many words? Told you Lol. But still a damn near 200 mph car is insane though. You like the Acura NSX?

Yeah, I get that its design isn’t for everyone. It’s not flashy or sculpted like some of its European rivals. But every part of the exterior is there for a reason — cooling the brakes, reducing drag, adding downforce, or improving stability at speed. It’s built around performance, not looks. That’s what “form follows function” means — the shape serves the purpose. It’s engineered from the inside out, pretty much.

I don’t like the last NSX. I like the original one and how it evolved before they transitioned to the one after that. But I like the Honda NSX, not Acura.

I see. Totally. Everything will come into place just like the two of you did because this was meant to be, Dee.

Not exactly. Human evolution takes thousands of years, and it’s driven by slow genetic changes based on environmental pressure, like climate, gravity, radiation, and available resources. I mean, landing on a new planet doesn’t trigger adaptation. Our biology is tailored for Earth’s conditions, especially like its atmosphere, gravity, and magnetic field. I mean, without protective measures, colonizing another planet could cause serious health issues, like bone density loss, radiation damage, and impaired organ function. So no, we wouldn’t just “unite with the planet”, we’d need serious technological support just to survive. Know what I mean?

I’ve been binge watching this couples therapy called “Saving our Marriage” on Netflix. Funny as hell. I’ve been cracking up the whole time I’ve been watching. As soon as I get home from work, I’m ordering a pizza and I’m going to continue my binge. With all these couples, these chicks seem to be the problem and none of the dudes have threatened to leave their marriages. But all the chicks have threatened to leave Lol! Typical. Not saying the dudes aren’t part of the problem, but the chicks seem to be the reason they’re in couples therapy in the first place.

I think you’re being biased because you’re a guy. But it sounds hilarious. I’m going to watch.

Teddy was a cardiology patient of Dr. Sanders at MSU in his last year, but Pip is young and healthy and fine with his primary care vet. But I would definitely go back to MSU if Pip develops any complicated health issues. My sister takes her two schnauzers to MSU for all their care. She is a pediatrician and she has gone to great lengths to get the specialized care her dogs need. Both are diabetic and have insulin pumps, and one had to have his eyes removed due to complications. They are lucky to have her, because I suspect a lot of owners would not be able to manage what she does for Ben and Lizzie.

BTW, Pip went to urgent care for a gastrointestinal bug 3 weeks ago. We were leaving on vacation a couple days later and I was erring on the side of caution. When they were checking him for pancreatitis, etc. the x-ray showed that he has a "very small liver." They recommended we talk to our vet about that.
