"According to the Wall Street Journal, Alabama’s Sigma Kappa chapter paused its plans for a new, roughly $24.7 million house, according to university documents. The price tag would have set a record for the nation, but a university spokesperson said the project was paused because it had become too pricey due to inflation."

Where do Alabama SK chapter members plan on living/hosting recruitment this year? Have they more recently held equal to other campus chapters in NM numbers?

I guess for now they’ll stay in that swing house until something happens. Via the last grade report they have 215 members compared to the 400 ranger that the other houses have, and they got 82 new members compared to the 100’s the others got.

My BFs daughter is a SK at Alabama, and I think they're staying the house they've been in. Her mom sent me photos when they went to visit her, and while it may not be the palace that others live in, it's a pretty house. SK deserves so much more respect on that campus than they get.

Here's a photo of the swing house that SK is currently occupying. I've read that it's either the former ADPi or AGD house.

I've not seen any interior photos the house at this point in time. However, I would expect that it is well maintained.

Again, my BF's daughter lived in the house at Alabama in 2021-22 maybe. It's not nearly as nice as the other houses, but it's still gorgeous. It won't help them grow. They've sort of stalled out around 200-220 members. They usually pull between 50-75% of quota.

Sorry to hear this, this must be so distressing to the SK collegians at Alabama who believed they were getting their own mansion and thus housing parity with all of the other Sororities. I wonder if they can stay in the swing house indefinitely?
