^^^ I was 20 then. Can you believe that was like three years before greekchat? That’s how long I’ve been on here, lol.
I was at UND my first two years and like a semester before transferring to Minnesota. I went into aeronautical studies at UND because I was obsessed with black holes, and Sagittarius A was basically my celebrity crush. But sometime sophomore year it hit me that if I can’t reach a supermassive black hole faster than I can get to Greece with a layover, what’s the point? So I pivoted to animals, at least they’re here and occasionally grateful. Vet school made more sense. I transferred to Minnesota to gear up for vet school there, but ended up at MSU instead. Same gravity, less existential doom.
No, I can’t drink my coffee and read at home because every two pages I turn in the book I’m trying to read, it’s “Mom”, “mom”, “mom” “mom”….

WIFLSRN: Finally some peace and quiet, spending time with myself. So, the coffee shop that I saw that’s like a hole in the wall, I’m here. There’s a table, two chairs and a small counter with two chairs. That’s it. Hilarious! So tiny and quiet. I’m reading “Black Hole Physics (from collapse to evaporation).” Do you guys know how long I’ve had this book? Since Christmas and I’m finally sitting down to study it. So excited!

LMAO! I just peeped this. So we can’t park our bikes in a regular parking spot? Where should we park our bikes then, CG?

Is that why you did the flight attendant thing? What would a major like that be called? And what’s the connection to astronomy?

I’d Lmao if one of your customers came in there, got a coffee and sat with you. I’d be crying laughing.

LMAO! Motorcycles and bicycles aren’t the same thing. You just hate motorcycles, that’s what that is.

What would you put on the resume, CG? - I served peanuts and cleaned bathrooms on an airplane? LOL!

It was a busy weekend! Saturday, I cleaned the house and set up my raised garde beds and planted tomatoes and spaghetti squash. Then TKEGuy got here and we had steaks on the grill. Sunday morning we went to the Detroit Tigers game against Cleveland and our best pitcher did great. He pitched his first full game AND had a shut out (2 hitter). Big fun It was an 11:35 am game, which was weirdly early. We had breakfast before we went and weren't hungry at the ballpark so we had brats around 4 pm and then he left for home. I went for a bike ride then.
I got a new e-bike that has fat tires and a suspension post and fork and I love it I rode 5.3 miles Monday, 8 miles Sunday and then today rode 16.4.
Today, my Kiwanis Club was in the local Memorial Day parade, throwing candy to the kiddos. Then we gave away books and did some crafts with kids at the park. I came home and finished laundry and then headed out for my long ride. I rode along Lake Erie. It was a beautiful day!
I'm tired.

Looking forward to our two week road trip across the country. There’s a few automotive museums I want to see. Also looking forward to the amusement parks, other museums in Washington DC, Las Vegas, and other interesting places we’ve planned. Should be fun, with the exception of the outdoor activities involving camping and sleeping in a tent at some stops that I agreed to. Got outvoted.
Thought I mentioned this road trip in the historical sites thread. I guess not.
“This tent is bug-free. Bugs can’t get in.”
Yeah, uh huh.

That sounds like one of those vacations where you'll need another vacation to recover from the first one, lol. Have fun!

Here go dude’s Yelp review about his breadsticks LMAO!
“Breadsticks were cold. Driver looked emotionally distant. I don’t know what happened between the last house and mine, but I feel like something changed him.”

WIFLSRN: I’ve been doing a “What If” marathon today. And so…..
this is interesting but I don’t see this working. I’m so glad I didn’t choose this part of “Plan A” career choice.
