WIFLSRN: So… today after church, one of the members there, who’s also a professor was eating with us in the fellowship hall. Someone brought up how Trump is dismantling the department of education. And then of course, you know me when it comes to Trump, I have to add my two cents. The professor is very intelligent and such a positive person. We’ve known him for years. He told us he’s writing a book on how Trump supporters can be changed, and how you can change how people think. My response? Ummm…. that did not end well, lol.

You don’t think people can change, CG? What’d you say to him in response?

No, he just thinks he can change people.

Oh, I absolutely believe people can change. I just don’t believe they do it because someone politely explains how wrong they are. Especially not folks who have spent years marinating in their own disillusionment. Try challenging that and they won’t reflect because they react. Usually louder. Know what I mean?

What I said to him was… I just told him when someone’s identity is built on misinformation, logic feels like an attack. So instead of opening up, they throw up walls. But wise people? They pause. They reflect. They grow. Ignorant people are like the complete opposite.

So sure, people can change. But only if they’re humble enough to admit they were wrong. And let’s be honest, that’s not exactly a common trait in folks wearing red hats.

True. I didn’t look at it from that perspective.

Sorry cheerfulgreek, both Michigan State and Minnesota lost this evening in the NCAA D1 Men's Hockey Regionals

But on a happier note for you, Michigan missed qualifying for Regionals this year.

@ Phroze. How have you and your lady-friend you met when you were here been doing? You stopped posting about her. Not being nosy or whatnot, just concerned and curious at the same time.

Hit me back. Here or PM.

Yes, a sad night for my teams. I wasn’t able to watch, but I read about it. The best part of the evening was knowing Michigan was watching from home. And then, at least we were there. I mean, imagine missing the party entirely. “Go Blue”? Like, really? More like “Go...Where?” Or like, “Go Home”, lol.

I wish that I could change the weather
Enjoy the sound of silence in my car
There's things I just can't hate forever
I found a crowded place to fall apart

You-you-you-you can blame it on a N-E-R-D
You-you-you-you can blame it on a tangerine dream
You-you-you-you can blame it on a space man
Blame it on snacky, blame it on dexy, oh (da da da dat da)

I don't like the music on the radio
They don't play my song
I don't like the music on the radio
But I sing along….

OMG, I LOVE that song. I was signing along to it on my way to the coffee shop this morning. And I just love the you-you-you-you part, lol.

We still talk. She’s trying to come down my way soon. Everything is still good.

Dude, their hottest wings aren’t even that hot. I don’t know why he’s acting like they’re crazy hot. But I like spicy foods though.

I'm guessing she's looking to ship orange man somewhere far, far away. Maybe a deserted island like in Castaway. Tom Hanks was a FedEx employee in that movie, so he shipped for free.
